Appraiser Training Required

Virginia House Bill 433 if passed will require appraisers to receive training “to calculate values of energy efficiency and renewable energy in the appraisal of residential property”. What is your SCORE? It depends on which agency you use. LEEDS, Earth Craft, EPS, etc. What do their scores tell you? What do they measure? Can you use it to improve your SCORE? Congressional Findings

Congress finds that–

(5) another loan limitation, commonly called the `loan to value’ test, is tied to the appraisal, which often does not adjust for efficiency features of houses.
